The Gypsy Situation

Hello world, it's been a while since I wrote a note, an article or whatever in this "diary". We live in a world which everything goes straight to social networks like facebook, twitter or instagram. I'm not gonna lie, I'm a client as well so that's probably the main reason I haven't payed much attention to this page. I definitely need to pay more attention to this diary because it makes me listen to myself and organize what's going on in my life, specially when you get back to real life and need to settle back down.
So, what's been going in my life lately... Well, I pretty much took a two month holiday to come back to Australia for another season and still got the chance to go to France and Spain. Meanwhile I delayed a project to start a new one which it's good anyways. It's kinda like giving one step behind to give 2 steps forward. I'm talking about Gypsy The Movie, it was suppose to be out by the end of july but we had some technical problems with our computers right in the end of it. What we can tell you is that the edit is almost done and we already have a place for the premiere!
Unfortunately you wont be able to see the Australian footage on this feature. We decided that it will be part of our second project, the reason we took that decision it's because we made a shit load of footage that probably was enough to make another Gypsy and this first one we want to make it a bit more experimental to see how things goes and make sure the second one will be better.

Don't worry guys, I got back to uni, Manuel got 2 jobs and we still want to make these movies real!

See you soon

As Cores de Lisboa

I was really glad to be the cinematographer of this movie. Despite the lack of production, it was a challenge to make the image of a story inspired on the movie "Modern Times" from 1936. It's also a bit special because the last scene was recorded at my grandmother's place and it's such a good décor for any photography and art director.
Thanks grandma!
Good job fellas

The Weekend (Australia)

I can't stop thinking about the weekend I had last year as soon as I arrived SA. It was probably the best weekend of my life! I remember my good mate Dylan picking me up in Adelaide telling me excited that we have to hurry up because waves were gonna be pumping in an 8hour drive from there.
We picked up Jake, packed some stuff and simply disappeared! I was so exhausted from 48hour flights that spent those entire 8hours sleeping like little baby jesus!
On the next morning we woke up near that famous lookup and it was fully pumping!
A few people rocked up to that place but we couldn't be bothered, there was plenty of good time for everyone and ended up making some new friends, including two young blokes that pretty much carried me the whole trip which I'm entirely thankful. Thank you Josh and Vaughan, these guys are possible the best and funniest guys in town!

Right now, I'm finishing another semester of works and studies, and starting to pack all the stuff for another season on the great southern land.

Thanks Jake Seabrook for capturing some of the best details of that weekend!

See you guys soon!
